Smokin' Joe and his Wild Horse Band

Founded in 1992, "Smokin Joe" set out to be a band that brought the hot new country music of the nineties to central Pennsylvania. The bands driving motive was to create a show that would blow people away. Anyone who saw the band perform would tell you that they accomplished what they set out to do. Performing, primarily in clubs and taverns, in the early years, the band attracted a loyal following. Over the years, the band has evolved into a new band, and has moved the show out of the clubs, and onto the fair and festival circuit.

Sheryl-Dawn Ryan

Sheryl-Dawn Ryan, songstress/musician/recording artist recently joined Solid Fuel as their lead Vocalist. She has played in many bands over the years, with each one gaining style and professionalism. Her newest project, “I Believe in Me”, is a full 13 song album, featuring songs she has written or co-written and produced by Brian Gagnon and is now available through her website and CD BABY as well as Indie Rhythm and Music Submit sites. The title track “Believe in Me” and track 7 “Sweet Low Rider” are garnering interest & being played on country and light rock/contemporary stations in a regular rotation world wide. Her first CD, released primarily in Australia and New Zealand was well received, and “Here Comes Love” topped the Independent charts at No. 11. A larger release scope is planned for mid-April 2008 for this new album.

Her musical influences include a variety of great artists such as Bonnie Raitt, Amanda Marshall and Alannah Miles as well as Wynonna Judd and Patsy Cline These, combined with her truly unique approach to adult contemporary music give you a good sense of this lady’s style. She certainly leaves an impression both in person or when just listening.

She has shared the stage with performers such as artists; Ian Mitchell of Bay City Rollers and Rosetta Stone fame, CCMA Award winning Julian Austin and Shelley Buffitt, Rita Fournier and Transit as well as Big John “T-Bone” Little, who traveled with Janis Joplin throughout her Canadian Tours, Dallas Harmes, Winston James, Ray Powers, The Chamber Sisters, Marty West and Hidden Agenda to name but a few.

She frequently tours with the “Stars of the Century” Legends show, appearing as “Wynonna Judd” and “Mary Chapin-Carpenter” and is scheduled to be touring New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland October 25 through November 6th, 2007. Recently nominated for the “Recording Engineer” award with the Niagara Music Awards along with producer Brian Gagnon, she certainly has all her “t’s” crossed when it comes to making music. When not touring, she can be seen at Queenstons Pub and Grill, Queenston Street, St. Catharines, ON, on most Saturday evenings or in local venues with Solid Fuel. A 2009 West Canadian tour is in the planning stages and a New Zealand tour is currently in the planning for late summer 2010 focusing on I Believe in Me with her band Solid Fuel
